Landmarks nearby include Pilsum Lighthouse (3 km), Kirche Greetsiel (0.3 km), Greetsieler Zwillingsmuhlen (1 km), Greetsieler Hafen (1 km), Vogelbeobachtungshutte am Leyhorn (2.5 km), and Leybucht (4 km). The nearest train station is Emden central station, from where a bus connects directly to Greetsiel. The Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site is located 5 km from the Hotel.

Greetsiel is known for its picturesque port with shrimp boats and the Greetsiel twin mills. The annual Greetsieler Woche or Imke Filkers Prize for fine arts display painting, goldsmith art and sculpture. Guests can enjoy long walks by the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the nearby Leyhörn nature reserve, which is part of the Krummhörn EU bird sanctuary.
