Hotel Grimsel Passhöhe features 15 rooms in the main building and additional rooms in the dependance for up to six people. Options include standard double rooms, deluxe double rooms with or without a balcony, and deluxe double rooms with a sofa bed. Family accommodations include the 'Haslizimmer' and family suites designed for four guests. Annex accommodations include small double rooms, 4-bedded rooms, and 6-bed dormitory rooms with shared showers. Rooms offer views of the Bächlistock, Pizzo Gallina, Ritzlihorn, and surrounding mountains. Rooms are equipped with free toiletries, private bathrooms with walk-in showers and hairdryers, desks, seating areas, wardrobes, sofas, and parquet floors. All rooms include Wi-Fi, and daily cleaning.
Dining at Grimsel Passhöhe
The Hotel features a restaurant serving European cuisine. A daily Grimsel breakfast buffet is available from 07:30 to 10:30, featuring local cheeses, meats, yogurts, muesli, fruits, homemade jams, egg dishes, regional breads, and fruit juices. From 11:30 to 17:30, a menu of warm and freshly prepared delicacies is available. The evening menu is offered from 17:30 to 19:30, and combines traditional delicacies of the Grimsel region with contemporary cuisine. The chefs are inspired by the surrounding mountain landscape and the deep blue mountain lake. Guests can also opt for a large buffet breakfast in the main building.
Activities
Guests can enjoy hiking and cycling in and around Oberwald. Nearby attractions include the Gelmer Funicular and Skiarena Andermatt-Sedrun. Those interested in natural beauty can explore the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch and Binntal Nature Park. The hike Nägelisgrätli starts at the Hotel, with stops at Remersee and Graetlisee, continuing to the Rohne glacier. The Grimselwelt Trail takes six days to complete, including the Gelmer area and Windegghütte des SAC. From the Post bus stop Handegg, Kunzentännlein, the hike to Gelmersee lasts 50 minutes.
Location & Transport
Hotel Grimsel Passhoehe is 100 km from Sion. The nearest airport, Lugano Airport, is 76 km from the Hotel. To reach the Hotel by car in summer from Bern, drive towards Interlaken, then Meiringen. From Lucerne, drive towards Brünigpass and then to Meiringen. From Meiringen, cross the Kirchet to Innertkirchen, then turn towards Guttannen/Grimselpass. The first stop is the Remersee. Public transport is also available. The Hotel is located where the water flows into two different seas, on the European watershed between the Mediterranean and the North Sea.

Hotel Grimsel Passhöhe offers seminar facilities. The Hotel is open from approximately June (pass opening) to mid-October, 06:30-22:00. Contact forms are available.
