The Ruster Resort provides rooms at the Livehotel Friedheim and Gardenhotel Schönblick, and Ruster Apartments. The Livehotel Friedheim features Alpin and Alpin Superior rooms with air conditioning, minibar, balcony, large bathrooms, LCD TV, telephone, safe, and WiFi. Apartments type B and F have air conditioning. All rooms offer views, including panorama views, of Merano and the Alps. Some rooms at Gardenhotel Schönblick offer views of the garden or Lagundo and include a flat TV, WiFi, phone, safe, and bathroom with shower. Rosensuite offers a whirlpool and biosauna, plus a fully equipped kitchen (on request). All apartments have a balcony with views of Merano, the Adige Valley, or Tyrol Castle. The Rose Suite includes a walnut-wood living room, terrace, double bedroom with a balcony, and a bathroom with a whirlpool and bio sauna. It can be booked with a fully equipped kitchen.
Dining at Ruster
The Ruster Restaurant offers local and international dishes, served in various "Stube" rooms accommodating 10 to 70 people. The restaurant features the Josef Stube, Kamin Stube, Romantikstube, Torggl, cellar, Palms Garden (180 seats), and Beer Garden (60 seats). The chef prepares menus reflecting seasonal produce, with South Tyrolean, Mediterranean, and global cuisine. Options include fish, steaks, salads, and vegetables. Guests can savor cuisine and wines in their room or apartment. The Beer Garden offers draft beer and South Tyrolean specialties. A breakfast buffet is available at Livehotel Friedheim. Guests can choose bed and breakfast, half board, or à la carte dining.
Leisure and wellness
Guests have free access to facilities at Livehotel Friedheim and Gardenhotel Schönblick. These include two heated swimming pools, a wellness area with a Finnish sauna and Turkish bath, a Jacuzzi, an outdoor sauna with a relaxation room, a whirlpool, and a Finnish Blockhouse sauna. The resort has mountain bikes, table tennis, a children's playground, and a 4500 sq m sunny garden. Location and Transport
The Ruster Resort is 35 km from Bolzano. It is situated in Lagundo, near Merano, amidst orchards and vineyards, offering views of Merano, the Adige Valley, and the Alps. Lagundo town center is 800 m away and Merano is 2 km away. A direct bus route provides access to Merano's attractions, including the Thermal Baths, historical center, and Promenades. The resort provides free bicycles and mountain bikes for exploring the surroundings. The Südtirol GuestPass Algund allows free use of public transport and selected cableways in South Tyrol, as well as free admission to 90 provincial museums. Charging station for electric cars (2025).
